4 Months

We don't go to the doctor for his 4 month check up for another week, but last week Kaleb weighed in at a whopping 18 lbs 3 oz. I swear he's sneaking food off of Jakob's plate when I'm not looking. Actually, I started him on rice this past weekend. So far, so good. He's sleeping a little more, which is all a momma can ask for.

Brothers

Jakob is such a GREAT big brother. He loves being with Kaleb. Each day after school, he crawls under the baby gym and lays with Kaleb. It's especially adorable when he shares his tag. He rubs it on Kaleb's check, arm, and leg. Jakob doesn't share his tag with just anyone, ask GrandDaddy!

Big! Big Boy!

Big boy now weighs 16 pounds 10 oz. Can you believe it? I can't! He's wearing 6 & 9 month clothing and getting bigger by the day! In this picture, he's actually wearing Jakob's outfit from his FIRST birthday! Don't believe me? Check out the blog posts for 1 year. In defense of both boys, the outfit was short on Jakob and is long on Kaleb.

Easter Sunday

Houston Zoo

I've been begging Jay to take us to the zoo for at least a year. I finally got my wish. What a beautiful day it was, too! The weather was amazing and the boys were perfect. Jakob was such a big boy walking through the zoo and talking to the animals. "Hello, Mingos! Bye! Bye, Mr. Ephant!" Somedays I'm amazed at how cute he is! Not that I'm biased or anything.

Kaleb was quite the big boy as well. Today was the first time he was able to ride in the front of the stroller and out of his carseat. Other zoo visitors would stop to ask how old he is. They were amazed to find he's only 3 months old! I guess what his shirt says is true..."I'm a BIG deal!"

2 Months Old

Today I took Kaleb to the doctor for his 2 month exam. Before I went, I checked to see what Jake's stats were. Jakob weighed 12lbs 4 oz and was 24 inches. Boy, was I in for a shock. Kaleb is a whopping 14 lbs 2 oz and 23 1/2 inches. He is a BIG boy! I guess we can't call him Iddy Biddy anymore!

(If you look at his right hand, he tucks his thumb in between his pointer and middle finer, just like Daddy!)

Big Smile!

YEAH! Kaleb smiled for me today. Jay and I have been impatiently waiting for him to flash us a big grin. Today, I had Kaleb on my bed and I was talking to him and tickling his cheecks. Then, all of a sudden, there it was! One of the most beautiful smiles I've seen since his big brother, Jake. He doesn't do it regularly, but when he does it's Magic!
