Brothers

Jakob is such a GREAT big brother. He loves being with Kaleb. Each day after school, he crawls under the baby gym and lays with Kaleb. It's especially adorable when he shares his tag. He rubs it on Kaleb's check, arm, and leg. Jakob doesn't share his tag with just anyone, ask GrandDaddy!Justify Full

Houston Zoo

I've been begging Jay to take us to the zoo for at least a year. I finally got my wish. What a beautiful day it was, too! The weather was amazing and the boys were perfect. Jakob was such a big boy walking through the zoo and talking to the animals. "Hello, Mingos! Bye! Bye, Mr. Ephant!" Somedays I'm amazed at how cute he is! Not that I'm biased or anything.
Kaleb was quite the big boy as well. Today was the first time he was able to ride in the front of the stroller and out of his carseat. Other zoo visitors would stop to ask how old he is. They were amazed to find he's only 3 months old! I guess what his shirt says is true..."I'm a BIG deal!"

Jakob and Sammy

Playing with Cousin Sammy

Today we went for a play date with our cousin Sammy. Jakob and Sammy had so much fun together playing basketball, with chalk, and watching Sesame Street. I enjoyed visiting with Caryn. As much fun as it is to stay home, a little adult interaction is very nice! There were too many cute pictures to just post one. By the time we left, both boys were covered in chalk. I think they had a great time! You can see video of Jakob playing basketball at youtube (search iddybiddymama).

I Just Called to Say I Love You

My mom bought Jakob this adorable flat, rubber piano. It is so much fun. I don't know who likes it more...Jakob or his Mommy and Daddy. I find myself sitting around plinking out all of the Barney songs I know. I can't believe I just admitted to that! Anyway~tonight Jakob was doing his best Billy Joel/Stevie Wonder impersonation. Check out the video of him at youtube. Search iddybiddymama. You gotta love the fact that the piano is upside down! He's so talented!

Big Boy Swinging

I love the little park in our neighborhood because Jakob can slide and swing without any problems or fears. He has recently discovered that he not only loves to slide but that he loves to swing too. I'm so excited because the previous trips to the park were not as enjoyable for him. Tonight we had such a good time, but unfortunately it was a little too cold and windy for Mommy and Baby Brother. You can see video of him swinging at youtube (search iddybiddymama).

Buddy Jack

I could really get used to staying home and playing with the boys. Today our buddy, Jack, came over for a play date. Jakob and Jack played so well together and had so much fun outside. Jack fell a couple of times and once I picked him up. In an attempt to get his mother's attention, Jakob threw himself down on the ground and mustered up the worst fake cry. It was quite hysterical. I picked him up, kissed his boo boo, and he was fine. Once I set him down, he did the whole thing over again. He's too smart for me!

The Ocean

Jakob, Kaleb, and I took Bell and Papa to Galveston for a day of fun. We enjoyed some seafood and a ride on the ferry to Crystal Beach. Kaleb slept through the day, waking only for feedings. Jakob, on the other hand, had the time of his life. He and Papa walked along the seawall watching birds and looking for fish. He loved the ferry ride but got quite irritated when the birds came too close. Check out www.youtube.com for his latest video.

baby brother

My mom and dad arrived today to help me at home for the next two weeks. Tonight we exchanged Christmas gifts. Bell & Papa brought Jakob his own baby to take care of. The baby came with his own bottle, diaper, and blankie (or "We" as Jakey calls it). It is adorable to watch him take care of his baby. He immediately wanted to wrap him up and feed him his bottle.

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm sad to say I was a total slacker on Thanksgiving. I did not take a single picture! Can you believe it? Well, it's true. However, last night I took Christmas pictures of the Biddy Grandchildren with Larry and Nance. I absolutely LOVE this picture of Jakob sitting in Mai's lap. Taking pictures with three children ages 2 and under is quite an under taking, (not to mention two teenage girls) but they did turn out adorable!

Polar Express

Jakob has two toddler loves: Barney & Basketball. He would watch Barney all day if I let him. He would "shoot hoops" all day while watching Barney if I let him. I recently realized he also LOVES The Polar Express. He is totally mesmerized by the choo*choo train and Santa Clause. Tonight, he sat snuggled up to his Grand Daddy watching the Biddy Family favorite.

Baby Ava

Jakob loves his cousins Hayden and Baby Ava. Ever since she was born, Jakob has been so good with Ava. He loves his "Baby A". After tonight, it's quite obvious, she loves him too. She would follow him all around the living room trying to kiss him. It was absolutely adorable!

Happy Halloween Part II

Jay & I were at a loss for a costume for Jakob. Not only are they silly, uncomfortable, & impractical for a two-year-old, they are also quite expensive. When magically, an adorable little boy at my school brought him a fireman costsume, I thought, "PERFECT!" He loves "pire" trucks and the costume is FREE!However, Jakob had a different idea. While I tried to change him, he screamed, "I don't want to be a Pire Man!" Needless to say, when it was all said and done, he wore his Titans football outfit. The real fun began when it was time to trick-or-treat. He wouldn't have anything to do with the process. He refused to go up to the doors and his love of candy was of no importance!

"I Workin'"

Jakob asks a lot where Daddy, Mommy, and other people are. The usual response he hears is, "Working." If he asks Mommy to do something with him such as watch Barney, "Sorry, Jakey. I'm working." It's a phrase with which he's quite familiar. Now, he likes to join in. If I'm cooking, he gets out his dishes and works. When I'm cleaning, he gets out his cloth and goes to work. He makes sure each time to tell me, "I workin'." He's the cutest little worker I've ever seen!!!

Happy Halloween Part I

Today, Jakob had his first Halloween party at school. Mommy provided cheese, crackers, and witch hat cookies for his class. He looked so cute going to school in his "Scare U" shirt that Mai bought for him. He came home absolutely wired from all of the sugar with a spooky pumpkin painted on his cheek.

Happy Birthday, Jakob

For Jakob's birthday this year we decided to keep it simple. It was so nice to not stress about things and actually enjoy my baby boy on his big day. We had Jay's parents, sisters, and the kids over for pizza, cake, and ice cream. Once Jakob saw the cake, he was NOT content to wait for LaLa and Hay to get here before having a piece. His momma decided that it's his birthday, if he wants cake, let him eat cake! When we finally sang, the cake was missing a big hunk. It just made the evening that much more fun! There are videos on youtube that are quite hilarious.

Picasso

Jakob absolutely loves to color, write with a pen, and play with chalk. He must get his artistic talents from his Belle because it's not from his mother. Once we have a little shade in the back, Jakey and I love to take the chalk out and draw on the patio. I decided one day to give him large pieces of construction paper to use for drawing. Well, it got a little too quiet and I should have known something was awry. Let's just say the chalk is in time out now.
