Water

He's learning new tricks each and everyday! He's trying so hard to drink water out of a glass. He really likes it when Jay dips his straw in the water and then "squirts" it into his mouth. However, if the water is cold, he makes the funniest face. I was not quite quick enough to catch his reaction, but this picture is still pretty cute. I mean, of course it's cute! This is Jakob Pierce we're talking about!!!

The Biddys

For our moms...

Most people who visit The Biddy Blog are just here for Jakob. However, there are two special ladies out there who do love to see pictures of Jay and myself. That would be one Sara Long and one Nance Biddy. We love you!

Daddy's Caddie

Jay's cousin Shea was married today and Jakob was of course quite stylish. His golf outfit was an obnvious attention grabber. His sweater vest had a golf cart on it and his hat was lined in plaid that matched his shirt. I tried to take pictures of the wedding and other family members but I couldn't take the lens away from Jakey. It was absolutely freezing and so windy at the outdoor ceremony and reception. We were all huddled up trying to keep warm. Jakob was his usual self and entertained us all with his bright smile and adorable laugh.

Happy Easter!

Easter is my favorite holiday. This year, we decided to just stay home and have a quiet Sunday together. Additionally, the weather has been bitterly cold and ALL of our warm clothes are in storage. We watched a little Joel Olsteen and spent the rest of the day entertained by Jakey. He has a new toy that allows him to walk around a table and play with the different toys. He's really getting the hang of it. I mentioned his new ability to growl, well he also has a knack for shrieking. It sounds like he's in pain or upset, but he's perfectly okay. I've put a video online so you can experience it first hand. I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. Because of today, we have life everlasting! God Bless!!

Good Friday Part II

We're hoping Jakob will play golf and tennis someday. We're trying to influence him in anyway that we can. The view from his room in our new house is of the golf course and this afternoon we took him to watch a double's match at River Oaks. He looked so cute in his Gap baseball cap from Grandmommy and he smelled delicious from the sunscreen.

In true Jakey fashion, he behaved most of the time! I had to get up and walk around with him towards the end. Jakob is really enjoying growling. It's his newest way of communicating. I don't know what was funnier, the way the women were dressed for a tennis tournament or our scary monster growling! I just hope he doesn't go to kindergarten growling at his teacher.

Good Friday

It's a good Friday indeed. Jakob and I really needed a day off. This was our first week of commuting from Cypress to Clear Lake. Thank goodness we stayed Wednesday night at Aunt Ally's and didn't have school today. I tried to sleep in, but Jakob had other plans. He's been sleeping completely through the night for about 2 weeks. I think the change in routine has a lot to do with it.

Today he sat in his high chair for the very first time. Bell and Papa bought this for him and he's finally able to use it. He was hilarious! He's learned to spit, click his tongue, and other entertaining things with his tongue and lips. I've put two new videos on www.youtube.com - search under Jakob's Carrots. You can see his two teeth that have come out on the bottom. It's the first picture I've been able to take of them. He doesn't like to show them off! Zoom in for a closer look.

6 Months Old

For all of the Jakob lovers out there, I'm sorry this is not a better picture. After not napping well and getting shots, Jakob was so tired tonight that this was the best picture I could get. I'm still waiting for the perfect shot of his new tooth!! But because he's six months old today, I had to give his loyal fans something to enjoy. We went to the doctor this afternoon and got our many shots and new statistics. Jakob is 17 1/2 lbs and 29 inches. He could stand to gain a little weight but he's in the 97th percentile for his length. He just grows longer than wider - He can't help it!
