Everyone keeps asking me if Jakob has held Kaleb. Instead of opening that can of worms, I've been waiting for Jakob to ask. Today he did. He was so excited and it was so adorable! I put him in the corner of the couch and placed Kaleb in his arms. He was so gentle and loving. Everyday, I'm so amazed at what a great brother Jakob is!All About Allyson

I Hold Baby Brother!

Bye! Bye, Mai!
After two very helpful weeks, Nance is on her way back to Georgia. I'm a little nervous about being at home with the boys without any help. Jakob has been testing the waters and Kaleb is still so little. It's hard juggling the needs of both boys. Having our moms here for the first month has been wonderful. This weekend Larry was here as well. He and Jay worked on Jakey's big boy room. I can't wait to get it finished and Jakob is just as excited as well. Saturday, February 07, 2009

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! Many of you have heard of or seen Jakob's extensive wardrobe. So, it should come as no surprise that this scary spider actually has three Halloween outfits. To take full advantage, we've been dressing up since Friday. The scary spider outfit is from his daddy, the devil outfit is from Mrs. A, "I love my Mummy" is from me of course, and his Halloween blankey is from Aunt Debbie. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it apparently takes a village to dress one! Delicious treats to you all!

Wreck 'Em Tech!

Fight Raiders! Fight! At the time this picture was taken, Tech was beating Texas 31-21 at the half. Unfortunately, Jakob and his new Tech gear weren't enough to lead the Red Raiders to victory. He did prove to be lucky when the Raiders whooped some Aggie tail. Maybe next week Jakob can get the Raiders back on the winning track. Stay tuned!

10/26/6
Well, he's so cute I couldn't resist adding another picture. Blame it on Belle. She has requested daily photos of the little guy. Our "Little Rookie" is enjoying his daily dose of SportsCenter with Daddy. During commercials, he's busy daydreaming about which sport he'll make his professional debut. Mommy says nothing too rough or dangerous. She thinks golf and tennis sound great! Wednesday, October 25, 2006
Just-A-Swangin'

My dear friends Deminy and Cindi bought Jakob this fabulous swing. It plays classical music, including Fur Elise by Beethoven. Jakob hasn't quite learned to enjoy it fully. He only lasts about 5 minutes before he starts crying. The hilarious part is watching him after we've taken him out of the swing. His head bobs back and forth like he's still swinging. It reminds me of being on a boat and then getting back on land. I guess Jakob just needs to get his "swing legs".
