Water Boy

The good news is, he loves to drink water. The bad news is, he doesn't always choose the most sanitary options or locations. I constantly find myself telling him, "Don't drink that water!" Here he's drinking the water from one of the pool fountains. When compared to the bathtub or the dog bowl, I guess the pool's not so bad!

Space Center Tram

When we arrived at Space Center, we decided the first thing we would do was ride the tram. Houston tends to be hot and humid in the summer (Surprise) so an early ride would be more enjoyable. Jakob was so excited. He kept yelling, "Choo! Choo! Choo! Choo!" It was adorable. The tour guide came over the loud speaker & announced the tour would last an hour. Andrea and I looked at each other and immediately yelled, "Stop!" There was NO WAY I was going to wrestle Mr. Jakob Pierce for an hour! Let's just say he was less than pleased when we had to leave the "Choo! Choo!"

I Scream for Ice Cream!

Tonight I had the brilliant idea to take Mr. Jakob Pierce to the park while Jay played tennis. Long story short, this was an utter disaster. To remedy the situation I thought I would take Jakob to Sonic to get an ice cream. That just brought about more screaming. Eventually he realized the ice cream was not such a bad idea. We sat in the back seat of Jay's truck and shared our Oreo Blast, sang to the radio, & had a blast of our own! Sometimes little disasters turn into precious moments.

Jackie Rabbit

We have the cutest little bunny that comes to visit our yard and eat our grass. He will allow you to get up pretty close but Jakob hasn't learned how to use his soft voice very well. Now Jake spends his evenings searching the yard for the bunny. "Bunny back. Bunny back, MaMa." Now it doesn't matter whether the bunny has in fact returned or not, he just chants this repeatedly. Tonight Jay & I had the privelege of going on a date. Just before we left, the bunny did come back!
